IS THE JAMAICA STOCK EXCHANGE JUNIOR MARKET THE NEXT BIG SCAM?

Just asking. As it appears that Jamaica may be heading or is already at a stock market bubble, with all sorts of junk stocks being floated or to be floated after they are dressed up to be sold by their pimps to the highest bidders.

Yes an investment banker/firm that does IPOs can be considered a pimp. I will elaborate as worthless stocks are traded two to three times before they even go public. By the time it goes public, the pimps linking their fingers on these junk stocks.

It is simple really. Get some press release about a bunch of nothing, pose with some white dudes or a 3/4 white dude if you have some links, and walla you are almost at home base on your way in raking in US$4.5 million on your biggest con ever on the Junior Stock Market.

After burning the cash / millions on a new ride, paying the staff little to nothing if paying them at all. One tends to want more millions to live the dream life even if it means selling your soul. all because of the abject poverty in which you were coming from.

Now that’s how the pros I heard do these things. Sad but true.

The worse thing about all this, is that real start ups, real entrepreneurs will never get close enough to these pimps to even use their services for good.

    • pat, thanks for visiting the blog and reading the blog article. Your comment is off mark.

The article not say the junior market is a scam. It pointed to scams that may find there way on the JSE Junior Market.

      • There are safeguards in place but like all things if s scam unfolds someone is accountable. this should not stop the way for legitimate businesses. Are you an investor in a junior market company? Was it a scam? Did u do research before investing or the brokers who took the company public did their work?
